First large-scale delivery with zero damage or delay
The Geely Auto Chancay Port vehicle project, a collaborative effort led by Cosco Shipping, has successfully completed its first large-scale vehicle container devanning at Peru's new Chancay Terminal, achieving a zero-damage and zero-delay milestone.
The shipment included 200 Geely vehicles in 50 containers, marking a key step in China-Latin America automobile logistics. Cosco Shipping established a joint task force to tackle logistics challenges, introducing a three-dimensional integration support mechanism. A 24-hour dynamic tracking system ensures seamless coordination between Chinese and Peruvian teams, enhancing efficiency and reducing transport costs.
“This success establishes a replicable supply chain model for future vehicle shipments to Latin America,” Cosco Shipping stated. The company aims to expand its South American route network, using Chancay Port as a strategic hub. (ah)
