First Cargologic Germany freighter lands at future base
A B737 freighter operated by Cargologic Germany (CLG), the very first to be painted in the new airline’s colours, landed at Leipzig/Halle airport for the very first time last week. Managing director Ulrich Ogiermann (centre) and accountable manager Dierk Näther (right) welcomed the aircraft with Thomas Beschle (left), director flight operations. Another plane is expected to arrive during the next few weeks.
This new German cargo airline plans to start flying from Leipzig/Halle with three B737Fs this year. Once they have obtained the relevant permits from the Federal Aviation Office, they are due to primarily transport express freight consignments within Europe.
As this market segment is undergoing enormous growth, CLG is planning to increase the size of its fleet to ten aircraft before 2022. (ah)
