First BYD electric truck trialled
Waberer's is the first company to have tested a BYD Europe 19 electric truck in the EU. The 15-day trial focused on urban distribution in Budapest and was managed by Waberer's subsidiary, WSZL.
When scheduling the daily routes, emphasis was placed on maximising the truck's payload and load space, taking into account the vehicle's range. Each day, the electric truck completed several routes with ten - twelve drop-offs, covering an average distance of 150 km.
The trial shows that, compared to competitors, the BYD truck has a payload advantage of 9.7 t, allowing for more goods to be delivered in a single trip. (ben)
