First bio-LNG network in Germany
Bio LNG (liquefied biogas) is gaining ground in Europe. On Turtle, a road transport services provider from Spain, now collaborates with the energy supplier Knauber to launch the first bio-LNG refuelling network in Germany by establishing six bio-LNG refuelling stations for professional fleet operators there.
Bio LNG is a renewable energy source that is formed from organic waste through anaerobic digestion processes. Since 2019, On Turtle has offered LNG service points in Europe. Today, the company operates 154 stations in Spain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy and Germany.
In 2024, On Turtle tripled its HVO supply network to more than seventy stations in the six countries. Now the company has taken another step forward by launching its first bio-LNG refuelling network in Germany. (ben)
