Financial growth at ICS
The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) celebrated a successful year at its recent annual general meeting, reporting significant financial growth. The Institute saw a 12.5% increase in total income compared to the previous year.
This growth reflects the Institute’s efforts to enhance core educational programmes, particularly the Institute Online Academy. Chairman Glenn Murphy highlighted a 20% increase in operating profit, marking the third consecutive year of a positive operating surplus.
Murphy added that these financial achievements will ensure the Institute's continued commitment to excellence in maritime education. 112 years since its foundation, the Institute is adapting to industry changes through digital transformation while upholding its status as a globally accredited peer qualification.
