Fiege building on the Dutch border
Fiege is to build a new logistics facility on a 12.5 ha site in Emmerich am Rhein, located on Germany’s border region with the Netherlands. Some 64,000 sqm of logistics space will be constructed in two phases.
The first three halls, covering a total of 32,000 sqm, will go into service in September 2019. In the second phase, another 32,000 sqm of hall space will be constructed. Around 75 permanent employees – from the commercial and trading sectors - will be recruited for the first phase of the new location.
Jan Fiege explained: "In Emmerich, we will store, pick, pack and ship goods for customers in the consumer goods sector." The German service provider will retain its site in Bocholt. (mw)
