Fiata's move "back to the future"
Fiata has moved into its new offices in Geneva. The initial team was completed on 1 June and now consists of six staff members working together in synergy. In reality this is 'back to the future' for Fiata, which was originally headquartered in Geneva.
During a transition period, the administrative unit will remain in the Zurich office, and be gradually transferred to Geneva. The relocation will be completed by the end of 2020.
Daniel Bloch, responsible for the Airfreight Institute, the Customs Affairs Institute and Asia/Pacific region, will leave Fiata by the end of the year because, like some other colleagues, he does not wish to move with the organisation to Geneva.
More recently, Joana Nunes completed her mandate for Fiata on 31 May 2020. Her work for MTI was taken over by Andrea Tang, Fiata’s new international trade lawyer, who works closely with Nina Eggert on specific maritime matters. (mw)
