Fewer members on LDz management board
Latvian Railways (LDz) council has decided to reduce the number of members of the company’s management board from four to three and has appointed two new permanent members of the LDz board.
The council elected Maris Kleinbergs as chairman of the board. He has been the company's acting chairman since August 2019. Vita Balode – Andrusa was also appointed to the LDz management board, she will be responsible for the company’s financial matters.
Ainis Sturmanis, who was responsible for the company’s development projects, has left the management board, and the new chairman will now assume responsibility for the company’s development matters.
Therefore, the LDz board currently comprises chairman Kleinbergs and board members Eriks Smuksts and Andris Lubans, who will be replaced by the new board member Balode-Andrusa as of 1 June. (mw)
