FedEx: new intervention service
FedEx Express has launched a new monitoring and intervention solution for its customers in Hong Kong and Singapore. Dubbed FedEx Surround, the service enhances visibility and control, increases operational capabilities and ensures proactive intervention when required.
Using advanced sensor technology including Sense Aware ID, package locations can be transmitted every two seconds, which provides a better overview and facilitates decision-making.
“The introduction of FedEx Surround in Hong Kong brings a new level of service to our local customers, with a particular focus on the tech and healthcare sectors,” says Kawal Preet, president, Asia Pacific, FedEx. FedEx Surround will soon be rolled-out to mainland China, Japan, Malaysia, Australia, Korea, and Taiwan. (mk)
