FedEx launches new offering in the Middle East
FedEx Express has launched regional economy and regional economy freight services in the Middle East, offering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) solutions for less urgent shipments within the region. The services use the Middle East road network and connect Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
Shipments will have express clearance with transit times between three to five business days for regional economy and four to six business days for regional economy freight.
According to GSci Transport Intelligence, the Middle East and North Africa GDP is expected to grow at a steady compound annual growth rate of 3.1% between 2023-2028. Businesses in the region are therefore seeking more robust logistical support. (mk)
