Fedex launches new Colombian connection
FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp., has launched a new flight between Miami (FL, USA), Bogota and Medellin (Colombia). The new B767 flight facilitates the arrival of Colombian products to the US through its gateway facility in Miami and opens new markets for Colombian businesses.
Additionally, the flight will strengthen the competitiveness of Colombian producing and exporting companies. Aiming to strengthen the perishable goods sector in the region, which is estimated at more than six million pounds of freight per day, the new flight will operate six days a week.
The company’s upgraded Bogota and new Medellin facilities both offer cold-room capabilities and warehouse space for perishable freight. (ah)
