Fedex Express boosts capacity

Fedex Express is launching a new flight from UK to USA, boosting capacity for UK exporters requesting next-day deliveries to the world’s largest economy.

The flight, operated with a Boeing 777, offers customers more transatlantic parcel and e-commerce capacity, adding approximately 283,900 kg of additional capacity per week to the Fedex Express transatlantic network, with 72,575 kg dedicated to UK alone.

The flight operates four times per week, departing from Charles-de-Gaulle (CDG) Airport in Paris, France, connecting to hubs at East Midlands Airport (EMA), UK, and Indianapolis (IND), USA.

Fedex Express now operates three transatlantic flights out of UK. It selected EMA, a major express and e-commerce cargo gateway, for its newest flight because of its strategic location. (cj)
