Fastest rail link between China and Germany
To facilitate rail transports along the new Silk Road, DHL Global Forwarding has set up three new European rail competence centres in France, Italy and the UK. At the same time, it has launched the fastest railfreight link between China and Germany.
The new train runs between Xi'an in China and Hamburg and Neuss in Germany and reduces the time of the journey from 17 days to 10 - 12 days. On the 9,400 km long route the express train travels through Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Lithuania, Kaliningrad, the border crossing point Mamonovo-Braniewo and Poland. The fastest rail link between China and Germany was created with the support of China Railway, Belintertrans, RTSB and UTLC – Eurasian Rail Alliance, DHL says. (ben)
