Fast-tracking to decarbonisation

Rhenus is receiving twelve hybrid trucks that can run on B100 biodiesel. These new units will bring the logistics provider one step closer to fully decarbonising its road fleet in France by 2030.

The use of B100 biodiesel, which is made from rapeseed oil and completely biodegradable, reduces CO2 emissions by 60% and particulate emissions by 80%, compared to diesel.

The vehicles can thus enter LEZ (low emission zones) and reduce the road transport carbon footprint of Rhenus and its clients, throughout France and for all types of goods carried.

Rhenus’s fleet in France already includes eight trucks running on NVG and CNG. With these new vehicles, the company is taking yet another measure to reduce its carbon footprint. (ben)
