Fast route between Moscow and Zibo launched
One new trial train recently completed its westbound journey from Zibo in the Shandong Province of China via Erlian (Inner Mongolia) to the Seliatino terminal near Moscow, Russia. Another train is already on its way.
These two trains mark the first ever cargo transport by FELB on this route. A third train is scheduled to depart in December. The currently in-transit train is carrying a combination of equipment, consumer goods, machinery with an estimated transit time of 14 to 16 days.
The trial trains are an effort by FELB to establish a fast new route to connect Zibo, with a weekly service. FELB plans on using both the Seliatino and Vorsino terminals in the future with Seliatino being used for the Zibo service only. The new route will enable FELB to offer FCL as well as LCL services for cargo. (ben)
