Facilitating China-Europe e-commerce
JD Worldwide has opened its first self-operated procurement warehouse in Paris, France, specialising in fashion goods, as the latest step in its strategy to simplify e-commerce trade between Europe and China.
The Chinese company operates the shopping platform JD.com and has been working to facilitate the entry of European brands into the Chinese market. Its new hub in the suburbs of Paris stores fashion and beauty products from France, Germany, the UK, and other European countries.
Using an online store dedicated to the new warehouse, customers can now access European fashion arrivals and order via the JD app. The company also provides a Smart Check service, enabling users to verify the authenticity and traceability of their imports. JD operates a network of over 1,600 warehouses and procurement centres in Europe. (mk)
