Extending facilities in southern France
In France, Paris-headquartered JMG Partners is finally beginning to implement its plans to build a 67,500 sqm logistics facility in Clesud.
This project has been on hold since 2015, when the idea was first mooted to extend the local terminals for combined transport in Southern France. Public consultation processes and administrative hurdles took their toll despite the support of the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis, the region and the state.
Now, JMG Partners has finally obtained the necessary ICPE permit which assesses the property’s possible impact on the environment. Ground-breaking is expected shortly. Several retailers and 3PL have already expressed their interest in this project, which is close to the existing facilities. (sh)
