Express service for automotive manufacturer
Priority Freight finds a time-critical logistic solution for an automotive manufacturer: The company's plant in Spain required immediate support transporting 2 t of automotive parts from Tianjin, China, in just 48 hours.
When the call came in from the customer in Spain on Thursday evening, the relevant Chinese manufacturers and airlines were already closed. However, the client was offered the express tariffs that Priority Freight had secured with airlines operating out of China in advance.
The cargo had to be collected from two different Tianjin-based manufacturers, the relevant paperwork required for customs was prepared and the parts were transferred to Shanghai airport (PVG) for the first available flight on Friday.
To make sure that the goods would arrive in Spain by Saturday evening, Priority Freight sent them by air freight to Frankfurt (FRA) and via air charter further on to Madrid (MAD). (sh)
