Express rail service for Chinese e-vehicles
Hellmann is now offering a door-to-door express rail service between China and Europe for whole vehicles two to three times a week. The journey takes just 30 days.
The cars are first transported from the factory in China to the Hellmann loading stations, where they are put onto 40-foot containers. These are then transported by truck to the rail terminals in Shanghai, Zhengzhou, Chongqing and Hefei and loaded onto the goods trains.
The containers travel across the Chinese mainland and Kazakhstan, enter the EU via transit gateways in Bulgaria and Poland and arrive at their final rail terminal in Bremerhaven in Germany 14 to 16 days later.
With the new service, Hellmann currently transports up to 600 cars from China to Europe per week. (ben)
