Experiencing the benefits of new HDPE pallets
Latam Cargo Group is introducing a groundbreaking initiative in Chile, to be continued in Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Brazil, by replacing traditional wooden and conventional plastic pallets with recycled plastic pallets made from beverage boxes.
This project will enhance operational efficiency thanks to the increased durability of the new pallets (up to ten years) and will prevent the disposal of nearly 30 t of wood annually.
Compared to traditional pallets, the red pallets manufactured by Rehrig Pacific Company are lighter, more resistant and do not require constant maintenance. They are also more hygienic, as they do not accumulate fungi or bacteria. Their non-slip structure minimises the risk of cargo displacement, even in extreme temperatures, withstanding from -20°C to 60°C without losing their properties. (ah)
