Expeditors still under fire
The Seattle-based logistics and freight forwarding group Expeditors International is still feeling the impact of a recent cyberattack. The incident led to a partial shutdown of activities on a global scale.
The company said that it will cover all expenses for investigating the cyberattack and for its remediation, which may last for a longer period. Expeditors was also blunt in highlighting this “significant event that could have a material adverse impact on our business, revenues, results of operations and reputation.”
Founded in 1979, Expeditors today achieves revenues of almost USD 10 billion per year and covers over 100 countries with 350 locations. Its services portfolio includes supply chain, warehousing and distribution, transportation, customs and compliance. (sh)
