Expanding to Greece, Cyprus and Korea
The 4PL Marinetrans, an affiliate of Global Transport Solutions (GTS) and a specialist for supply chain solutions for ship owners and ship management companies, has acquired Door To Deck (D2D), a marine logistics provider in Cyprus, Greece and South Korea. The purchase price was not disclosed.
Since its foundation in 2017, D2D has steadily increased its share in the Greek and Cypriot managed merchant fleet. Now, Marinetrans is adding further locations in Greece to its existing office in Athens.
The co-founders of D2D, Kyriakos Tsitouridis and Michalis Theodosiou, will stay on board and also become shareholders of GTS Group. John Burgstra, co-CEO of GTS: “With this partnership, Marinetrans will significantly expand its foothold in the Greek and Mediterranean market.” (sh)
