Expanding in Portugal
XPO has expanded its presence in Portugal with the opening of a new transport and distribution centre in the city of Pombal, which is located between Lisbon and Porto. The inauguration of this hub represents another strategic step forward for XPO in Portugal.
The new facilities bring the total area in Portugal to more than 12,500 sqm and 70 docks and are expected to create around 100 direct jobs. The site will manage pallet transport services, last mile deliveries of bulky products, night deliveries and a comprehensive logistics service.
The company has also developed differentiated technological tools that allow to trace all goods in transit as a completely digitised process. (ben)
