Expanding handling capacity at Jaxport

Jaxport in Jacksonville, Florida, has signed a 30-year lease agreement with Enstructure, a USA-based marine terminal and logistics company, for 319,702 sqm at the Talleyrand Marine Terminal.

Starting in late 2025, following the relocation of Southeast Toyota Distributors to Blount Island Marine Terminal, the lease will expand Enstructure's operations to a total of 465,389 sqm at Talleyrand. Enstructure plans to develop the site into a mixed-use facility for processing various types of cargo, including breakbulk, dry bulk, vehicles, and containers.

The development is part of Jaxport's plan to increase capacity for non-containerised cargo, with Enstructure committing to build at least 18,580 sqm of new warehousing. Valued at USD 136 million over the lease term, the expansion aims to enhance Jaxport's handling capabilities by 20%. (pb)
