Expanding Europe-wide shipping service

CLDN and Transfennica have added another link to their shipping services in Zeebrugge, offering broader connections in Northern and Western Europe. Transfennica's service between Antwerp and the ports of Hanko, Kotka, Rauma (Finland), and Paldiski (Estonia) will call at CLDN's Albert II terminal in Zeebrugge every other Thursday, starting on 25 July.

This partnership will enable customers to tranship various types of cargo, including containers, trailers, and breakbulk, enhancing connectivity between regions like Iberia, Ireland, the UK, Scandinavia, and the Northern Baltics. The companies will share freight loading equipment to improve transhipment efficiency.

In a joint press release, Gary Walker of CLDN highlighted the reduced CO2 footprint and administrative benefits, while Dirk Witteveen of Transfennica emphasised the customer-oriented approach and extended network benefits. (pb)
