Expanding business in Bucharest
Hapag-Lloyd has opened a new office in Romania. Located in Bucharest, the country’s capital and economic hub, the new office has 21 employees.
Strategically situated, Romania offers direct access to countries in Central, Eastern and North Western European via the Danube-Black Sea Canal and, with the port of Constanta, provides an important hub port for container traffic in the Black Sea region. Hapag-Lloyd currently runs one direct weekly service to and from the port of Constanta.
Romania has achieved one of the highest growth rates of all EU members in recent years and has garnered sizeable investments from multinational corporations and other EU countries.
