Expanded Silk Road rail service
Austrian logistics provider Cargo-Partner has launched new weekly LCL direct connections between Germany and China and between Austria and China, both with transit times of around 16 days.
One weekly rail consolidation service will be operated from Duisburg, Germany, to Hefei in central China. The other consolidation service will run every Friday from Linz in Austria to Xi’an in China, including pickup from Central and Eastern Europe as well as distribution across China.
The new direct LCL services enable fast door-to-door transit times and help avoid the risks of unloading and reloading during the journey, Cargo-Partner said. (ben)
