Evergreen to transform its fleet
The Taiwan-based carrier Evergreen is ordering ten dual-fuel newbuilds. The 15,000 teu neo-panamax ships are part of the group's strategy to develop a fleet of vessels running on clean energy and thus achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
Currently, Evergreen's fleet has a total capacity of 1.5 million teu. The around 40 ships on order will add more than 500,000 teu over the next three years. (sh
