Eurotranspharma: cool chains in Czechia
Mitters, a Brno (Czechia)-based last mile specialist for the temperature-regulated distribution of healthcare products in Czechia and Slovakia, is being taken over by the France-headquartered Eurotranspharma. Mitters is a long-time partner of the Walden Group.
The acquisition extends Eurotranspharma's range to six countries (France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxemburg, Czechia and Slovakia), encompassing eight hubs, 25 regional depots, 1,000 staff and 800 GDP temperature-controlled vehicles. Founder Andrej Mitter remains in the company that has been in operation since 2010.
Benoît Latteur, CEO of Eurotranspharma, called the takeover a first step towards "expanding our operations to Eastern countries." Eurotranspharma expects to increase its transport activity by up to 50% in Eastern Europe over the next two years. Eurotranspharma will deploy a EUR 4 million investment plan to develop its portfolio in these markets. (sh)
