EUR 9 million hub in Neu-Ulm
Following the groundbreaking ceremony late last week, Harder Logistik has begun the expansion of its logistics space in Riffelbank, adding capacity in the industrial district.
The company aims to centralise its operations from this location, where it plans to add a new 4,800 sqm logistics hall, a two-storey office building and 800 sqm of outdoor space for its fleet. The expansion will build on the existing hub, opened in 2022, which featured a fully automated container warehouse. The site has direct connections to the A7 and other transport routes and is close to various industrial facilities.
Backed by a EUR 9 million investment, Harder’s new hub will generate electricity via photovoltaic panels and be equipped with a heat pump system. It will consolidate the company’s operations while adding to its network in Ulm, Leipzig and Plovdiv. (mk)
