Estonian rail carrier further raises its profit
The freight transport company Operail in Estonia has increased all of its key financial indicators over the first six months of the year. Compared to H1/2018, the Estonian carrier increased its operating revenue by 2% (EUR 37.7 million); with the biggest increase in sales revenue coming from income relating to rolling stock.
By the end of the first half of the year the group had leased more than 2,100 wagons, with lease revenue growing by 58% and exceeding more than EUR 6 million. The freight volumes showed a minimum decline (1%). Over the period of six months, the Estonian carrier transported nearly seven million t of goods. (ben)
