ESR's 37th Japanese hub
Construction has begun on ESR’s 37th Japanese logistics facility, which is also its seventh in the Kansai area. Completion for the JPY 11 billion hub is planned for September 2024.
ESR Itami DC will have an area of nearly 30,000 sqm, centrally located near the Osaka International Airport. Various highways provide connections to Kyoto and Kobe.
The project focuses on sustainable design with heat pumps, solar panels, and LED lighting. Disaster contingency measures, such as an emergency power system, have also been integrated into the design.
Stuart Gibson, ESR Group co-founder and co-CEO: “Given the facility’s strategic location and flexible design, ESR Itami DC will be able to serve growing investor demand for modern Japanese logistics facilities that are suitable for last-mile deliveries not only within the Kansai area, but also all over Japan.” (mk)
