Energy transition for Astre network
Because of rising energy prices and fuel shortages, Astre Dach Grieshaber Logistics and Moeller Transporte are converting their heating systems to oil- and gas-free technologies. The aim is to ensure storage quality in the network for temperature-sensitive goods.
Grieshaber Logistics uses gas heat pumps in its logistics centres to control temperature and humidity. Now the company has decided to replace a sufficient number of gas heat pumps with electricity heat pumps for the pharmaceutical warehouse.
Moeller also has to maintain strict temperature conditions when storing chemicals, wine and chocolate and other products, and will soon be running its heating system and industrial trucks on electricity from its own photovoltaic system. (sh)
