Emirates reaffirms commitment to Zurich Airport
In August 1992, Emirates flew from Dubai to Zurich for the first time, heralding three decades of partnership with Switzerland. The airline congratulates Switzerland's largest international airport on its 75th anniversary and is looking forward to many more years of close cooperation.
Emirates Skycargo, the airline's cargo division, has always played a key role in strengthening trade relations, offering a daily lower deck cargo capacity of 30 t on every Boeing 777-300 flight and 20 t on every A380 flight. Around 120,000 t of cargo have been transported to and from Zurich and Geneva over the past ten years alone.
Major exports include pharmaceuticals, automotive spare parts, chemicals, electronics, luxury watches and humanitarian aid. Imports include food and clothing. (cj)
