Emirates' B777F brings relief to Burkina Faso
Emirates Skycargo, the freight division of Emirates, has worked with Dubai-based International Humanitarian City (IHC), a leading global hub for humanitarian aid, to transport an urgent consignment of relief materials to Burkina Faso.
The B777F carrying around 100 t of aid, including 88 t of core relief items from UNHCR and 12 t of essential kits for combatting Covid-19 from WHO, landed in Ouagadougou on 19 June 2020.
Nabil Sultan, Emirates divisional senior VP, cargo: "We consider it our social responsibility to support the delivery of vital relief materials to places where they are needed urgently, and the strategic location of our hub in Dubai along with our widebody aircraft fleet enables us to reach a wide range of destinations within the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe within eight hours."
