Elvis opens new cargo handling hall
Elvis Teilladungssystem, the company that provides part load systems, has officially opened its new hall in Knüllwald (Hesse, Germany). With the new building, the Elvis group has doubled its storage capacity at this location. The key junction of the Elvis part load network now has a storage space of more than 20,000 sqm at its disposal.
The expansion had become necessary, since, over the last few months, the existing facility had regularly been reaching the limits of its capacity of 56,000 storage positions per month. The company reports that it invested EUR million in the project.
“By expanding the hub we have now paved the way for continuing the development of our part load system,” says Jochen Eschborn, CEO of Elvis. Lately, the Elvis has been handling more than 140 trucks every night. In total, this adds up to around 1,500 t of part loads. As of now, the facility can process the double amount of cargo. (mw)
