Elvir Dzanic takes over port in his hometown
The port of Gothenburg’s new CEO is Elvir Dzanic. He will commence his duties in early June. Dzanic was previously vice-president of business development at Houston TX-based Ceva Logistics North America.
The Swedish port’s new boss has a wealth of experience in the international transport industry, as well as in Sweden, as he graduated from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg.
Dzanic declared: "It is a special privilege to be able to develop one of Sweden’s most important transport hubs, and I am delighted to return to my hometown of Gothenburg."
Ulrica Messing, Gothenburg Port Authority chairperson, said: "With Dzanic, we have won a CEO with great experience and a global network, both of which are favourable for the port’s future.” (mw)
