Elsen runs transports for clinics
Elsen Logistik, the logistics arm of the Elsen group, is operating shuttle transports for the Catholic clinic Koblenz-Montabaur in Germany, bringing supplies to and from the three locations of the clinic group. A closer cooperation involving additional activities is planned for the future.
The shuttle transports ensure that all locations are provided with sterile materials for the surgery, storage goods and medical consumables and equipment. A truck now runs from 5.30 to 18.30 h between the three locations of the clinic group.
Thomas Klein, Elsen‘s CEO: “With the clinic we are searching for ways to optimise our processes along the entire supply chain and we are exploring how and where we can usefully deepen our cooperation.” In the medium term, Eisen plans to expand its service portfolio in this direction. “The healthcare logistics segment is a highly interesting challenge for us.” (mw)
