ELP: success with six-axle hybrid locos
The Swiss leasing company has reached a milestone: European Loc Pool (ELP) recently signed up the 100th locomotive on a long-term full-service lease. The company was founded only five years ago. It supplies exclusively six-axle hybrid locomotives with the Euro 9000 and the Euro Dual, offering the industry powerful alternatives to traditional models.
With their electric- and diesel functions, the Euro Dual and Euro 9000 provide seamless terminal-to-terminal service. Looking ahead, ELP's next goal is to have two hundred locomotives on order by the end of 2026. The Euro Dual operates in Germany, Austria, and Scandinavia, while the Euro 9000 is available in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, and Belgium. (ben)
