Electrolux contracts in France
Electrolux Logistics has contracted XPO Logistics to manage its logistics operations in France. The manufacturer is outsourcing its distribution to its trade customers in this country, after previously managing these channels in-house from its distribution centre in Marly-la-Ville (Val-d’Oise). XPO will now be managing the logistics activities at this site.
Approximately 90% of the inventory is comprised of refrigerators, washing machines and other large products, with the remainder being smaller appliances and parts.
XPO added that the two companies will also partner on Electrolux’s upcoming launch of its direct-to-consumer e-commerce site this year. This additional fulfilment will be handled at the same 58,000 sqm distribution centre in Marly-la-Ville. (sh)
