Electric trucks for Austria and Germany
Craiss Generation Logistics has added twelve new electric trucks to its fleet. With ranges between 300 and 600 km, the new Mercedes eActros will be deployed in Germany and Austria.
Two vehicles will debut in Austria in October, where Craiss has customised their chassis to accommodate higher trailers. In addition to deliveries within 300 km, they will also run a daily shuttle service for Craiss on behalf of a local energy company.
The eActros 600, which are bound for Germany, will be delivered in twelve months. One possible challenge for Craiss may be the lack of charging stations in some parts of Germany, since the necessary infrastructure has not yet been rolled out nationwide. Nevertheless, the company is looking to minimise carbon emissions while also optimising efficiency with this innovation. (mk)
