Electric middle-mile trucks delivered to UK
Manufacturer Daf has delivered five CF Electric tractors to Amazon UK. The 37 t GCW fully electric vehicles join the company’s middle mile delivery fleet, transporting goods with zero tailpipe emissions. The five units are the first electric middle mile trucks Amazon is operating in Europe, Daf said.
The vehicles replace diesel trucks, resulting in up to 160,934 annual road kilometres fuelled with renewable electricity and saving about 170 t of CO2 emissions. It takes only about 75 minutes to fully charge a truck, using a charging station with a capacity of 250 kW. (ben)
