Ekol's founder buys back shares
Ahmet Musul, the founder and majority owner of the Turkish company Ekol Lojistik, has purchased 37% of Ekol shares that had been held by Rigond Finance, a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi-based Invest AD and the Japan-based SBI, since 2010. Turkey’s competition authority has approved the acquisition and the share transfer has been completed.
Adding to his previous share of 54.5%, company chairman Musul has increased his stake to more than 90%. He chose to repurchase the shareholding because of his company’s strong financial structure.
Musul said: “We thank our former partners, Invest AD and SBI. With their support the company has grown tremendously since 2010. Now our company is once again fully owned by Turkish capital." (mw)
