Eight new ports join Green Award
The Green Award Foundation has announced that eight new Japanese ports managed by the Osaka Ports and Harbors Bureau have joined as incentive providers, offering discounted port fees to certified vessels.
This expansion brings the total to 47 ports worldwide promoting safety and sustainability in shipping. Key ports like Sakai-Senboku and Hannan are important for their historical role as trading hubs and strategic locations in Osaka Bay.
Their contributions are expected to boost Green Award's visibility and influence in Asia. The foundation now has a growing Asian footprint, with nearly 200 incentive providers globally encouraging responsible shipping practices. (pb)
