Efforts abound in South American markets
After widening its intra-American network, Latam Cargo is strengthening its supply between South America and Europe. Specifically, the company added a seventh weekly frequency, totalling a 40% increase in its offer compared to the period prior to the pandemic.
Up until 18 April, the carrier delivered 51 t of food within Peru, mainly benefitting Iquitos city which is very difficult to access by land or river, and also reinforced the transport of health-oriented products to Brazilian cities like Belem, Brasilia, Fortaleza, Manaus, Porto Alegre, Recife and Salvador.
A special mission was accomplished on a B767F flight between Viracopos and Buenos Aires, when stem cells were flown in the airplane’s cabin for the first time in the region. The trip was part of the company’s "Solidary Plane" program, which has addressed health needs in Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru for nine years. (ah)
