Efficient tool to administer master data
The KV 4.0 project, which aims to digitalise intermodal supply chains from beginning to end, has been completed. Now, an operating company will be created to market the data hub resulting from the digitalisation project.
The industry representatives involved in the project were DB Cargo, Lokomotion, SBB Cargo, KTL, Hupac, Hoyer, Paneuropa, Bertschi and Kombiverkehr. They already use the demonstrator developed for the project as an efficient tool to manage master data.
Timetable data and other information on the intermodal transport chain are exchanged through the platform and used among the connected users through standardised interface solutions. (ben)
