East-West Gate to fully visualise operations
Works are under way to implement a 3D Digital Twin of the East-West Gate (EWG) intermodal terminal in Fenyeslitke, Hungary, which is designed to follow the processes and operation of the logistics hub, including the movement of trains, trucks, cranes, transport vehicles and goods, in real time. The system is being developed in cooperation with Max Where.
The Hungarian startup will collect, process and display real-time information from all subsystems of the logistics centre, helping to plan, optimise and increase efficiency via the terminal's own 5G network.
The EWG intermodal railway terminal has been under construction since January and will be ready to receive live rail and intermodal traffic in Q1/2022. (ben)
