E-trucks powered by TST
Logistics provider TST has reported it has launched its first high-power charging park for electric trucks under the new ‘PamSun’ brand.
Located at its Worms logistics site, the facility includes eight DC chargers (3 x 400 kW, 3 x 240 kW, 2 x 160 kW) mainly powered by TST’s own photovoltaic systems and green electricity from the grid. The company aims to support zero-emission freight transport and plans to become climate-neutral by 2035.
“The days of the diesel dinosaurs are numbered,” said TST operational manager Frank Schmidt. PamSun’s network will grow nationwide, offering depot charging to customers and third-party hauliers. Sites in Wevelinghoven and Alzey will follow. The first kilowatt-hours were supplied to customers such as Lidl, Danone, Nestlé and BASF. (js)
