E-trucks not only for eco-sensitive customers
Bolloré Logistics India has added two new electric vehicles to its fleet in Mumbai & Bangalore. Ideal for intra-city pick-ups & deliveries, these vans save the company more than 3,500 litres of diesel.
The vehicles are primarily used to deliver goods to environment sensitive customers, but also to provide an eco-friendly transport option to all others. So far, the new e-trucks have travelled already over 10,000 km in Delhi, Mumbai & Bangalore, reducing 8.30 t of greenhouse gas emissions.
The CNG trucks currently in operation have already covered more than 138,500 km and reduced emissions by 27.03 t since they entered service, the company said. (ben)
