E-trucks for decarbonisation
Contargo is serious about green logistics. The container hinterland logistics network plans to be carbon free by 2050. The company already operates fully electric tractor units at two locations.
For the transport and logistics industry and the EU to achieve their ambitious environmental goals, the key Ten-T corridors in Europe must be turned into emission- free freight transport corridors, Contargo says.
Contargo supports the Clean Trucking Alliance (ECTA) in its demand for a political framework for the decarbonisation of road haulage traffic.
In its position paper, the ETCA calls upon the European commission to use the run-up period to the "Fit for55" legislative package to define binding infrastructure goals in all EU member states. (ben)
